Snow
This was an event with the local camera club I’d been looking forward to for a long time, but ended up being a little more complicated than I’d hoped. It wasn’t particularly cold but was blowing so hard the windchill became a pretty major factor. Ended up being too cold to think straight and I had a hard time focusing. None the less, found a few images I liked especially once the sun was down and we got into blue hour.
Some photos shot on a very long neighborhood walk in the snow.
We had a very brief 24 hour cold snap this February, beyond anything in recent memory. I decided to see if I could brave the conditions and capture how things look at sunrise when it’s -40.
These were shot very quickly, and without being able to fully see as my eyes were constantly watering, and ice was building up on my glasses and camera display. The sun didn’t cooperate either but I still really loved the result. The sea smoke coming off the -4 C harbour was absolutely wild.
