One of the highlights of my first year with a camera was this trek out to Martinique Beach for sunset in late July. This is one of my favorite places in all of Nova Scotia, you’ll see photos of it here often. It is however prone to fog at least in the earlier portion of summer, and it’s often difficult to tell what you’re going to get when you arrive as the beach juts dramatically out into the ocean. You can make the long drive out, be in bright sun 5 minutes out, and thick fog on arrival.
On this night however everything came together. I love the mist rolling off the ocean here at sunset which seems to happen a lot, and with the golden hour light on the grass, this was one of my favorites of the year. I can’t help but notice it could use a subject though.
